Universal Account Number (UAN) is a 12 digit unique number that is allotted to an EPF member. It is a permanent number and valid for the entire lifetime of a member. The employer of the employee can generate the Uan number. In case of a change in employment, the UAN allotted earlier can be provided by the employer.
