Income tax refunds credited: Good News to taxpayers! Check your account quickly. Complain here if not credited.

The total amount of direct taxes collected by the government has significantly increased. From the data until November 10, the government's direct tax collection has increased by as much as 31%. Following then, it rose to a total of Rs. 10.54 lakh crore.

 

Finance Ministry gave information.

In a statement released Friday, the Finance Ministry stated that the improvement was primarily attributable to the personal income tax collection's improved performance. After accounting for refunds, net direct tax receipts totaled Rs 8.71 lakh crore. Taxes on individuals and businesses are included. This is 61.31 percent of the overall budget target for the entire year.

 

The government issued so many refunds.

According to the notification, reimbursements totaling Rs 1.83 lakh crore were granted between April 1 and November 10. "The direct tax collection to November 10, 2022, reveals that the gross revenue is Rs 10.54 lakh crore," the ministry stated. Compared to last year's period, the gross collection is up 30.69%. Gross corporate tax collection has increased by 22.03%, while personal income tax collection has increased by 40.64%.

 

Check the status of the refund on the NSDL website.

Your income tax refund status can be checked online if you wish to. The NSDL website and the Income Tax e-filing portal allow users to check the status. To begin, after logging in, select View Return / Forms. Then, enter the assessment year after choosing Income Tax Returns. You may now find out the status of your refund.

 

Where to complain if a refund is not received.

Complaints from taxpayers can be made at incometax.gov.in. Additionally, they can use the toll-free number 1800-103-4455 provided by the IT division. You can call this number on business days between 8 am and 8 pm. In addition, complaints may be sent via the Income Tax Department's electronic filing website.
