Women Jan Dhan's account holders have received the second installment of Rs. 500 under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY). According to the official website of PMJDY, you can open a Jan Dhan account at any bank branch or bank friend outlet. The accounts which are opened under PMJDY do not need to maintain a minimum balance. However, if you want the checkbook facility, then you will have to maintain the minimum balance.

According to PMJDY's website, you can open Jan Dhan's account through documents such as passports, driving licenses, pan card numbers, voter ID cards issued by the election Commission, Mgnrega job cards signed by the state government official.
