Punjab National Bank has started the facility.
Leading public sector bank Punjab National Bank has announced the activation of UPI with Aadhaar for its clients. Customers of Punjab National Bank can use Aadhaar one-time password authentication to activate UPI on their phones. In the past, setting up a PIN upon registration—for which the debit card number was necessary—was essential for users to activate UPI. Therefore, those without debit cards could not use the UPI service.
PNB gave information through a tweet.

The NPCI website states that using the Aadhaar OTP to set or reset UPI is the best and more straightforward option. Users who want to use the UPI service but need a debit card will find this very helpful.
This is how this service will work.
>> Open your UPI app first, then proceed to the UPI PIN setting page.
>> Select the Aadhaar-based verification option after that.
>> Accept the information provided and give your approval.
>> Enter the last six digits of your Aadhaar card to validate.
>> Enter the OTP that was sent to the registered mobile number.
>> Accept and approve.
>> After the bank has verified it, enter and confirm the new UPI PIN.
Your approval is required.
According to the NPCI website, resetting a UPI PIN using an Aadhaar number requires customer approval. Customers must agree before setting a UPI PIN with an Aadhaar card. In addition, you will only be able to set a UPI PIN with an Aadhaar OTP if your bank account and their cell number are connected to your Aadhaar. Your bank account and Aadhaar connection numbers should also match. The option to set a UPI PIN using Aadhaar will be available, and the user will be notified if their bank does not support it.
